Everyone needs time to recharge. Whether you are tackling a challenge in your community or caring for loved ones or trying to get yourself to a path that resonates for you, every one of us needs to take a few minutes to absorb energy and replenish that fuel we need to keep going. This is true whether you’re trying to get through a Monday, help your teenager through an emotion almost too big to handle or convince someone that both of your points of view have merit. I hope these thoughts and things will help you find that extra energy you need to keep fighting the good fight!
I have been an educator for almost 20 years, and I’ve learned a lot from teenagers. They are in an incredibly dynamic (and often exhausting) phase of life. They have taught me how to seek energy in things that give me joy and to make time for connection. This blog shares some of those lessons .
When I’m not teaching, I like to be outside. I enjoy a good hike but I also like reading a good book on my patio. I love good food and have some patience in making it (but not a ton, therefore INSTANT POT love) and I like visiting with friends.
